Product Fit
Does Shelfside require drilling?
No. Shelfside is designed to clamp onto compatible furniture edges, so you do not need to drill into walls or furniture.
What furniture does it fit?
Shelfside works with compatible shelves, desks, cabinets, and bookcases that have a suitable board edge for the clamp. Customers should check product measurements before purchase.
How do I check compatibility?
Check the thickness, shape, and stability of your furniture edge. The clamp needs a stable, flat board edge to hold securely. Avoid uneven, fragile, rounded, or flexible surfaces.
Will it damage my furniture?
Shelfside is designed to be no-drill and renter-friendly. As with any clamp-on product, proper installation and compatible surfaces matter. Do not overtighten, and check stability before use.
Installation
How do I install it?
Place the clamp around a compatible furniture board edge, tighten it by hand until secure, and check that the post is stable before letting your cat use it.
Do I need tools?
No drilling is required. Installation is designed to be simple and tool-light. Always follow the setup guide included with your order.
Can I move it later?
Yes. Shelfside is designed to be repositioned on compatible furniture edges. Always loosen the clamp carefully and reinstall it on a stable surface.
Choosing a Set
Which option should I choose?
The Single Post is best for one scratch zone or a smaller furniture edge. The Two-Post Set is better if you want more coverage, have multiple cats, or want to create a larger scratch area.
Is it good for multiple cats?
The Two-Post Set may be a better fit for multi-cat homes because it creates more scratching space. Every cat is different, so allow time for your cat to adjust.
What if my cat does not use it?
Some cats need time to adjust to a new scratching spot. Try placing Shelfside near an area your cat already likes to scratch, or encourage use with familiar scent, toys, or treats.
Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Orders are typically processed within 1-3 business days. Standard delivery usually takes 6-10 business days after shipment.
How much is shipping?
Free U.S. shipping is available on orders over $89. Shipping options and rates are shown at checkout.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number by email. Tracking updates may take some time to appear after the carrier receives the package.
Returns
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Please contact support@getshelfside.com before sending any return.
Who pays return shipping?
If the return is due to our error, such as a wrong item, defective item, or item damaged during delivery, we will help with the return process. If the return is requested for reasons other than our error, the customer may be responsible for return shipping.
What if my package arrives damaged?
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us within 7 days at support@getshelfside.com if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect. Include your order number and photos.
